Around 2018 we decided to re-design one of our older 1990’s charcoal / wood units. We simply added larger access doors with controllable draft vents and installed sliding upper and lower track settings for the removable charcoal pans. It’s not as heavy duty as our Commercial Charcoal/Wood Whole Hog BBQ Pits, but it is an excellent lower cost design for the average backyard cooks out there. We added in removable charcoal trays and included adjustable intake and exhaust vents for great air & heat control. Take a look and let us know what you think.
